In Search Of...
My Sanity please!
I'm a military wife, so I should be used to this. Each time my hubby leaves on a trip, the girls and I take a couple days to find
I can't possibly be talking about this little dolly, right?!
Yeah, this is more like it!
Stress level high, work piled up, alone with the kiddos and ITCHY beyond belief from this healing poison ivy... I missed my intervals yesterday. Great. Marthon Training Day #2 and I'm already slacking.
Today I woke up pretty focused... Need. To. Run... Find. My. Sanity... so we were heading to the gym by 8:30am. I jumped on that Spin bike and took off. I pedaled hard and fast today, even on the hills. My legs were cooked, but I jumped on the treadmill for more. Midway through a 5K, I realized I was really running angry. Maybe it was the fact that my kids threw all their bath toys into the toilet this morning? Or squeezed out their yogurt into big piles on the table and then decorated with their fruit? Or that we changed outfits 3 times before got out the door? Regardless, I had 15 minutes left to find my mommy sanity. I bumped it up to 7.6 mph on the treadmill and ran like hell to the finish. There. Much Better. Mommy is Back.
Running is the best (and cheapest) therapy I got.
Ah 3 year olds. Having to have them for 3 hours a day I have huge reverence for those of you who have to keep them for longer than that! Glad that the running worked out for you!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, running is the BEST therapy!! Hope your day(s) is better!
ReplyDeleteRunning is the best therapy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder that I'm glad my kids are a bit older!! Haha, hang in there girl!
ReplyDeleteI have a three year old daughter too with a very similar look! What a great face! I don't know what I would do if I didn't run....go crazy?
ReplyDeleteYour daughter and my oldest daughter must conspire some days. I have seen that look plenty of times. Especially during deployments or workups when she really likes to try my patience. Running is how I get my sanity back too. It's a great feeling when I'm done.
ReplyDeleteRunning really is the best stress reliever!
ReplyDeleteHA! Yes, running is a sanity saver.

ReplyDeleteI recognize that look on your daughter's face...mine has the same lately! Running does have a knack of letting you sweat out the frustration.
your daughter is precious :) oh I've definitely run angry before...it sort of makes me faster :)
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are hilarious, one extreme to the next! Well at least your kids are giving you a little extra fuel for your training.
ReplyDeleteSending you hugs, love, & positive energy! Leave any negative stuff on the pavement where it belongs.... ;)

ReplyDeleteRunning, it's cheaper than therapy. Seriously, way to work out the stress in such a productive manner! I hope your kids settle down in a few days.
ReplyDeleteHey,PlanetISO I appreciate the effort it took to update the thumbnail, but in the opinion of our corporate communications staff, the image of a man sitting in an office with his eyes half-closed doesn't send the message we want to send as a company about ISO. How about using the image from 0:14 in the video, or 0:07, which feature clean images clearly identifying the video as ISO-related? The content is so good, we want to make the first impression as positive as possible. Just a thought!Thank you so much!!
