Review & Giveaway: Core Power Protein Drink

This past month, I've had a chance to try a new-to-me protein drink... Core Power. There's a ton of these drinks on the market - some pre-mixed, some powders.  I'm always a bit leary because of the chalkiness taste that overpowers many of them. I'm happy to report that these Core Power protein drinks taste great and I happily consumed all my free samples!

You may see a lot of Core Power these days in the media. They are the official protein drink of the 2014 Winter Olympics. In fact, they sponsor a whole realm of everyday athletes throughout the country.

  2. I always try to keep a protein drink with me for after a long run. Keeps the hunger at bey so I'm not trying to devour a small city after a run.

  4. I've tried lots of protein drinks, I really dont have a favorite, most are like meal replacements or something to hold me over till I can have a meal. I really like the ones from Advocare but they can get a little high on the calories so I mostly just stick with the Weight Watcher meal replacement shakes.

  8. I have a love/hate relationship with them --- I love the convenience factor when I really need to get some nutrition ASAP but am not hungry post-run. I hate that I can never seem to find good ones that aren't full of fake sugars or chemicals!

  11. I drink Muscle Milk or chocolate milk. It's hard to find a great tasting protein drink. Would love to try this brand out!

  14. Chocolate milk, sometimes muscle milk, but has that vitamin aftertaste :/ More often I will rehydrate w water and have a banana, yogurt/cottage cheese/eggs or a protein bar

  15. Usually I have dinner after a workout so I don't eat anything specifically to refuel. Sometimes I'll have a protein bar. I've tried Muscle Milk before and maybe some other products, but only when I get them as free samples.

  21. Yes - I have a protein drink every morning. I work out, and my hubby makes me a protein drink an adds fresh fruits/veg and creatine. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  29. I currently have some Atkins dark chocolate protein drinks in the fridge. I've been using some of it as coffee creamer, trying to cut back on the sugar and sweetener I'm hooked on!

  33. I wish you had included the carb counts in your article, although I know you included the links. As a diabetic, I have a tough time finding pre-packaged protein drinks that I can have due to the high carb counts.

  41. I've tried all kinds of protein drinks in the past but nothing really in the past 9 months since I've been pregnant. I'm looking for something new to try when I'm back to exercising.
    I typically go with a big ole glass of chocolate milk after a long run and then an egg dish.

  52. I've tried Odwalla Protein drinks and it was pretty good. After a hard workout I try to drink lots of water and eat whatever I'm craving :-)

  55. I've tried a few homemade protein shake recipes with some whey protein powder isolate and they taste great. But, they're not alway accessible and take time to make. I've tried protein bars, but have yet to find one I like the taste of. I'd love to find a way to refuel after a workout that I could keep in my bag for really busy days that tastes great!

  60. I don't refuel the best after a workout because I am usually rushed! I could really be better about it. I do however have a protein drink every morning. I love sipping on it throughout the morning while I am at work!
